Good to hear from you Brother. Yes, I know what busy is like.

As far as the Emerging stream, it seems that there is not a lot of activity or interest. I have two requests in the past year and I wish that we had a thriving community to direct them towards.

Since we met I have been meeting with a lot of people involved in the kingdom dream. They tend to have carved out a specific area that they are involved with (helping people) and less in exploring. One is Wendy who is doing embrace richmond is a wonderful community involved in helping city folk. Another is a pastor at the Imagio Dei church who seems to really get it in what God wants us to do. I highly recommend them.

Hey Dave, it has been a while. I’m still around…busy as heckfire, but around. Always interested in getting together with likeminded folks.

Hope the situation at WHC works out–you are fighting the good fight.

Get back if/when you think there is even a small group interested in doing something regular-like.

Did you mention last time we met that someone from among those you had talked to about the emergent cohort were practicing Buddhists? If so, could you forward some contact info to me? I am looking for a meditation group with some like-minded individuals, and could use a few contacts to help.

Not yet. I tend to listen to audio instead and wrote an email to him asking when it was going to be on audible. They said:

Dave – I hope it will be available on audible soon. So far (as far as I know), no audiobook company has asked to record it. I hope they will soon! – Brian

I think I will buy and not wait….

And yes, there does seem to be a few Scotts in the emerging world. brian can joinn them! I think he is going to be in Virginia Beach in March. Will double check.

Thanks Ezekiel, I still think the 28th at 7 pm works. Just trying to finalize a location.

I just received another contact through the EV folks and I will make contact with them too.

Rock said he should be game too, but he has not made contact in awhile.

Jan. 28 at 7PM sounds great to me. I’ll spread the word, though many of my friends are likely to be, well, uninterested.

One more possibility re: a meeting place is a coffee house like Crossroads.
