Meeting Info

Our first meeting was  Thursday January 28 at 7 PM, The Village Cafe in Richmond.  We had a great time and Greg and I committed to keep going.

I am now going to target the end of Feb for our next meeting.  Would we pick up more participants on Tuesdays?

Would a place like Legends or Richbrau be too crowded and noisy? I know Joey and Adele did one at the Village Cafe. Tuesdays at 6PM work for me during the holidays, though not so much once the semester starts–Thurs through Sun is better then. But others may have different ideas. Anyway, I’m glad to know someone is looking to get the ball rolling. Good luck and count me in!

Thank you Greg. I am open to most places for meeting and want it to be as convenient for responders as possible. Rock preferred 7 PM, and I think Thursday works too. Those are all fine for me.

I am thinking the first meeting will be January 28, 2010 at 7 PM. I will chose a location. Since I have not had much response to this point, I think a noisy place will be OK so I will think about a place with food and drink :)

Jan. 28 at 7PM sounds great to me. I’ll spread the word, though many of my friends are likely to be, well, uninterested. :(

One more possibility re: a meeting place is a coffee house like Crossroads.

Thanks Ezekiel, I still think the 28th at 7 pm works. Just trying to finalize a location.

I just received another contact through the EV folks and I will make contact with them too.

Rock said he should be game too, but he has not made contact in awhile.

Did you mention last time we met that someone from among those you had talked to about the emergent cohort were practicing Buddhists? If so, could you forward some contact info to me? I am looking for a meditation group with some like-minded individuals, and could use a few contacts to help.
